This was the very first time I met Marek.

One thing I really enjoyed was the fact that he had absolutely no idea who I was. He had never seen me before, never wrestled me before, and honestly… that made the whole thing even more fun for me.

Before the match, while we were talking backstage, he seemed very confident. He explained that he knew what he was doing, that he wouldn’t be an easy opponent, and that I was going to have a hard time with him.

“Okay,” I replied politely, with my usual innocent look and my eyes lowered.

What happened later on the mats… well, you can probably imagine.

And if you can’t, that’s exactly what this video is for.

We start with 15 minutes of fully competitive wrestling where both of us are trying to win and score as many points as possible. After that comes a 5-minute punishment round for the winner.

I won’t spoil the result, but let’s just say that sometimes first impressions can be very misleading.

There is also something special about this match for me personally.

This is my very first wrestling video after ACL reconstruction surgery on my left knee, filmed approximately 5 months after the operation. I was curious myself how it would feel to be back competing again.

Because honestly, once the match started, I almost forgot about the surgery completely.
